- LinkedIn profile;

We process this information to provide recruitment services, assess relevant opportunities and communicate with you about your career and recruitment processes.
We ask that you do not share special categories of personal data with us (such as health, religion, political opinions or criminal record information) unless strictly necessary. If such information is included unsolicited in a CV or other document, we will not use it for our services unless required and permitted by law.
6. Applying for a specific vacancy
When you apply for a vacancy through MNS Finance, we process the information required to assess and manage your application.

7. Keeping in touch about future opportunities
Recruitment is not always limited to a single vacancy.
Where you agree, MNS Finance may maintain relevant professional information so that Maxim Rem or Stijn Schilder can contact you when another finance opportunity arises that reasonably matches your background and preferences.
We do not treat the fact that you once submitted a CV or spoke with us about a specific vacancy as permission to keep and use your information indefinitely for this purpose. Where we wish to keep your profile in our talent network beyond the retention period described in Section 19 for that specific process, we will ask for your separate, explicit consent, given independently from any specific application or hiring decision. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
8. Professionals we identify ourselves
MNS Finance may proactively identify finance professionals who appear relevant to our recruitment activities.
For example, we may find professional information through:
- LinkedIn;
- other professional networking platforms;
- publicly available professional sources;
- recruitment databases or platforms that we are authorised to use;
- referrals and professional networks.
We may process relevant professional information to determine whether it is reasonable to contact you about a specific role or our recruitment services.
This may include:
- your name;
- current and previous professional roles;
- employer;
- professional experience;
- skills and specialisms;
- publicly available contact details;
- LinkedIn or other professional profile information.
Where this processing is based on our legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your privacy rights and reasonable expectations, as required by the GDPR. If you do not wish to be contacted or want us to stop processing your information for this purpose, you can tell us at any time and we will act on that request, subject to any retention we are required to apply for legal or evidentiary purposes.
10. Client enquiries
Clients and business contacts
If you contact MNS Finance about a hiring requirement, we may process information including:

- company;
- job title;

We use this information to:
- understand your hiring requirement;
- communicate with you;
- provide recruitment services;
- identify potentially relevant professionals;
- manage our commercial relationship;
- maintain appropriate business records, including for invoicing and fee administration.
11. Existing and prospective business contacts
We may process professional contact information relating to existing and prospective clients where this is relevant to our business.
This may include:
- name;
- employer;
- position;
- business email address;
- business telephone number;

15. On what legal basis do we process personal data?
Legal basis
Depending on the processing activity, MNS Finance may process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract or steps before entering into a contract
Where processing is necessary to provide services you have requested, such as actively supporting your job search or a specific recruitment assignment, or to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
Legitimate interests
Where processing is necessary for a legitimate business or recruitment interest and those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. This is typically our basis for identifying potentially relevant finance professionals, contacting professionals about relevant opportunities, and maintaining professional and business relationships. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we carry out a balancing assessment between our interest and your privacy rights, and you have the right to object.
Consent
Where you have given us valid consent for a particular processing activity, such as being kept in our talent network beyond the standard retention period described in Section 19. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Because of the practical dependency that can exist during an active recruitment or application process, we do not rely on consent as the basis for the core recruitment activities described in Sections 5 and 6; we use consent specifically, and separately, for optional continued contact as described in Section 7.
Legal obligation
Where we are required to process or retain information to comply with applicable law, including tax and administrative record-keeping obligations.
16. Who may receive your personal data?
Where necessary and legally permitted, we may share personal data with:
- clients and prospective employers involved in a recruitment process;
- technology and hosting providers, including our database, authentication, file storage and communication tooling;
- email and communication providers;
- file-storage providers;
- professional advisers, such as our accountant or legal counsel;
- authorities or regulators where legally required.
Service providers processing personal data on our behalf are bound by a data processing agreement that sets out appropriate instructions and safeguards. We do not sell personal data.
Current processors and subprocessors
| Provider | Role | Personal data processed |
|---|---|---|
| Lovable Cloud (Supabase) | Database, authentication and file storage (including CVs and job descriptions) | All personal data submitted through the website’s forms, including CVs, job descriptions, contact details and application information. |
No other processor is currently active. We do not use analytics, advertising or marketing tools that process personal data. This overview will be updated when an email delivery provider is connected (currently planned via Microsoft 365).
Lovable Cloud is built on Supabase. A Data Processing Agreement covering the processing described above is in place via the provider’s standard terms. Please contact us at info@mns-finance.nl if you would like further information about the applicable data processing agreement.
17. International transfers
MNS Finance aims to process personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA) wherever reasonably possible.
Where a service provider processes personal data outside the EEA, MNS Finance ensures that appropriate safeguards are in place as required under the GDPR. Depending on the provider, this may include reliance on an applicable adequacy decision — such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the receiving organisation is certified under that framework — or the use of Standard Contractual Clauses, supplemented where necessary with additional technical and organisational measures.
MNS Finance maintains an internal, up-to-date overview of the service providers that process personal data outside the EEA and the specific safeguard relied on for each. This overview is reviewed periodically, including whenever a service provider is added or replaced, and when the legal status of an applicable transfer mechanism changes. You can request further information about the safeguards applicable to a specific provider by contacting us at info@mns-finance.nl.
18. Security
MNS Finance takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, alteration and unauthorised disclosure.
Access to personal data is limited to people and service providers who require it for legitimate business purposes. No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the personal data we process.
19. How long do we keep your personal data?
Retention
We do not retain personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. We apply the following default retention periods, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law, or unless a different period applies because you have provided separate consent (see Section 7):
- Candidates and applicants where a specific process does not lead to a placement: up to 4 weeks after the process concludes, in line with the guidance of the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) and the NVP Sollicitatiecode;
- Candidates who have given separate, explicit consent to remain in our talent network (see Section 7): up to 1 year, renewable with your renewed consent;
- Candidates with whom we maintain an active, ongoing professional relationship for the purpose of matching future opportunities, processed on the basis of our legitimate interest: up to 2 years from the last substantive contact, after which we delete or anonymise the data unless contact resumes;
- Placement and invoicing records: retained in accordance with our statutory Dutch tax and administrative record-keeping obligations, in principle 7 years;
- Client and prospective-client contact information: for the duration of the business relationship, plus up to 2 years after the last substantive contact;
- General enquiries that do not lead to further engagement: up to 1 year;
- Records relating to privacy requests or complaints: for as long as necessary to handle the request or complaint and to demonstrate that it was handled appropriately, in principle no longer than 2 years after closure.
When personal data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.
If you ask us to stop contacting you or to delete your information, we will do so as soon as reasonably possible, unless we are required or permitted to retain certain data for a legal obligation, an ongoing dispute, or another legitimate interest — in which case we will inform you.
20. What are your privacy rights?
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, the GDPR gives you rights including:
- the right to be informed about how we process your personal data;
- the right to access your personal data;
- the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- the right to request deletion of personal data;
- the right to restrict certain processing;
- the right to object to certain processing;
- the right to data portability where applicable;
- the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- rights relating to certain automated decision-making where applicable.
Not every right applies in every situation.
You can submit a privacy request by contacting: info@mns-finance.nl. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and will not request more information than reasonably necessary for that verification.
The Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens generally allows organisations one month to respond to privacy-rights requests.
21. Automated decision-making
MNS Finance does not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on individuals solely through automated processing.
Technology and AI may support our recruitment processes, research, administration or drafting where appropriate, but human judgement remains the quality control at every stage that affects a candidate or client. If MNS Finance introduces AI-supported tools that score, rank or filter candidates, this Privacy Statement will be updated to reflect the relevant transparency and human-oversight requirements, including those under the EU AI Act where applicable.
22. Complaints
If you have concerns about how MNS Finance processes your personal data, please contact us first at info@mns-finance.nl so that we can investigate your concern.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
23. Changes to this Privacy Statement
We may update this Privacy Statement when our services change, our processing activities change, we introduce or replace relevant technology providers, or legal or regulatory requirements change.
The current version is published on the MNS Finance website.
Where a change materially affects how we process personal data, we will take appropriate steps to inform affected individuals where required.
